At Ladybird Gardening, our focus is on delivering high-quality gardening, planting and garden care. Like many professional gardeners, we do not remove green waste as part of our standard service.
Garden waste is the responsibility of the property owner. We will always leave waste neatly stacked or bagged in an agreed location and we are happy to advise on the most suitable disposal option for your garden.
Our aim is to ensure expectations are clear before work begins and that you have a practical, cost-effective solution in place.
Your Green Waste Options are below:
Home Composting – Sustainable and Practical
Composting is the most environmentally responsible solution and significantly reduces the volume of waste leaving your garden. It also produces high-quality compost that improves soil structure and fertility.
We can:
Advise on setting up a simple composting system
Arrange supply of compost bins where needed
Build timber crate compost systems for larger gardens
Help manage and improve existing compost heaps
This is the method we use ourselves and it produces excellent compost over time.
Best suited to:
Ongoing lawn cuttings
Border maintenance
Prunings and plant material
Less suitable for:
Very large one-off clearances without space
Invasive or controlled weeds
If you would like help establishing composting, please let us know at quotation stage.

Service Terms – Waste & Responsibility
To ensure clarity:
All green waste remains the responsibility of the property owner unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Ladybird Gardening does not remove or transport green waste as part of routine maintenance.
Waste will be left tidy and manageable in an agreed location.
If third-party waste removal is arranged, costs will be confirmed in advance and recharged at cost.
Clients must declare invasive or hazardous plant material prior to work commencing.
Once waste has been placed in the agreed location, responsibility transfers to the property owner or appointed waste service.
