Ladybird Gardening is a sole trader business operated by Kathryn House, based in Deal, Kent.
Services
Ladybird Gardening provides garden maintenance, consultations, planting plans and related horticultural services as agreed with each client.
All services are subject to site assessment and availability. The scope of work will be agreed in writing by email or invoice before work begins.
Quotations and Estimates
Written quotations are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.
Estimates are provided in good faith but may vary if:
The condition of the garden differs from what was reasonably visible
Access issues arise
Additional work is requested
Any variation will be discussed before proceeding.
Consultations
Consultation services include on site advice and written follow up as described in the service tier.
Plant and material costs are not included unless specifically quoted.
Advice is given based on professional judgement, seasonal conditions and available information. Plant performance cannot be guaranteed due to weather, soil, pests or other external factors beyond control.
Ongoing Maintenance
Regular maintenance visits are scheduled by agreement.
Visit frequency may vary due to weather, seasonal conditions or unforeseen circumstances. Clients will be informed where possible.
Ladybird Gardening reserves the right to decline work that falls outside agreed scope or presents safety risks.
Payment Terms
Invoices are payable within 5 days of issue unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Late payments may incur reasonable recovery costs and interest in line with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts legislation where applicable.
Payments can be made by cash or bank transfer unless otherwise agreed.
Access and Client Responsibilities
Clients must ensure:
Safe and reasonable access to the garden
Pets are secured
Children are supervised
Water and electricity access is available where required
Ladybird Gardening is not responsible for damage caused by pre existing structural defects, unstable walls, hidden services, underground pipes or poorly installed fixtures.
Waste
Green waste remains the responsibility of the property owner unless collection has been separately agreed.
Ladybird Gardening can assist with composting advice or council collection guidance but does not routinely remove large volumes of waste.
Weather and Delays
Work may be postponed due to severe weather, unsafe conditions or circumstances beyond control. Visits will be rearranged as soon as reasonably possible.
Liability and Insurance
Ladybird Gardening holds Public Liability Insurance.
Liability is limited to the value of the service provided. Ladybird Gardening is not liable for indirect or consequential loss.
Cancellations
Cancellations require at least 48 hours notice.
Short notice cancellations may be charged where time has been reserved and cannot reasonably be filled.
Photography and Marketing
Ladybird Gardening may take photographs of the garden before, during and after work for record keeping and portfolio purposes.
Photographs will focus on the garden and planting. No identifiable images of clients, children or personal items will be published without explicit permission.
Images may be used on the Ladybird Gardening website, social media pages or printed marketing materials.
If you prefer that photographs of your garden are not used for marketing purposes, please notify Ladybird Gardening in writing before work begins.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with any aspect of the service, please raise this within 7 days so it can be reviewed and resolved promptly.
Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
